      But then
                  I
                             .    remembered

                                                                bellow.

Beneath me          your
             You     fire                .
Why should I fall when not even your pathetic spittle reach me?

Tre[m]ble Clef

Please stop singing.
You don’t even realize it don’t you?     n
That your insipid laugh ring like   k    i
                                                       v
                                                   e
                                                         s
       flat and sharp
                       t r i l l i n g
shouting
     forte
                forte
                            forte!
and breaks in infuriating
                sta [.] cat [.] to [.]
                               When you talk it’s worse.
      The ground shakes,
The skies darken
at the sound of your voice.
Then you sound off in broken record manner in sudden elegy
     I promise
        I promise
             I promise
And back to your honeyed vivace
        of I’s and watered gardens.
I’d rather be swallowed up in silence than be in the surround sound of your noise.

Heart Strings

Everyday you wake up with webs in your eyes
and strings on your appendages.
You move and move
spin and spin
and add yet strands and strands
until you’re caught
in a multicolored tangle
that at times you let them
reach your neck
tightening
tighter
tighter
tighter
until all you can hear is that faint
Lub
… then the countdown to nothing begins
and you’re plunged in a state of numbing
e m p t i n e s s
and all of you is scattered.
But in that ground zero state,
instinct kicks in
forcing you to release your restraint,
walls collapse
strings unwind
and everything rushes back
you are you again
whole
as you don’t really have a choice
at something deemed involuntary
…Dub
And the cycle starts over
Lub-dub, Lub-dub, Lub-dub
Everyday is a battle of pressures,
forces,
gravity,
fought by a fist-sized muscle
willingly,
without second thought.
For a small organ,
always fighting for you,
why keep giving it a reason to stop it’s beat?

Fugue

      B l u r
                             s P i N
 A loud chorus of SCREECHES
and skids
and horns
and YELLS
ring in your ears,
pulling you back to awareness
… you are in the middle of a road.
Red-faced you run to the sidewalk
with the sound of tsks,
disapprovals,
curses,
derogations,
drown in white noise to your ears
s/t/a/t/i/c
your thoughts all too demanding
too loud
to receive your attention with just but one
- one simple question.
What were you doing there?
And I answer quite panickingly,
I don’t know.
I don’t know, I don’t remember.
Then you don’ even realize that once again,
your feet quickly walks.
Where are you going?
And again you can’t answer.
I don’t know.
Like a bad dream,
every face you see is unfamiliar
menacing
horrid
A sound louder than your screaming thoughts dominate over you
Loud enough to be called embarrassing, your heart almost leaps out of your chest
as your breath tries to catch up
                              B l u r
                             s P i N
You stop.
As you close your eyes,
willing to wake up from this nightmare
you are suddenly wrapped in silence
in the quiescence of your mind
you open your eyes and see the truth
see it all too clearly.
You were trying to escape.
And you did so all too blindly.
And it almost caused your demise.
Then suddenly, everything seemed familiar once more.
Eventually,
slowly,
you start to walk back.

Mercurial Whiplash

Wayfaring cushioned slides
never-ending descent,
sudden stop mid-fall
as the sanded glass reverses
confusion sets
and you are liquid silver,
mercury
yanked up
as sparks fling from all sides
a phoenix-like spirit thriving on heat
on passion
on fire
no
Icarus' incarnation chasing sun to his demise
no
a phoenix-like spirit thriving on sun lands
yes
Icarus' incarnation, wings consumed on heat
on passion
on fire
yes
A coin toss
a thread of fate
reality
you are silvered liquid
dragged down
Khione-possessed, A goddess,
a nymph,
a drop of snow,
you thrive on ice,
on placidness,
on still beauty,
no
Jack's shadow, heart encased in icicles
trapped under ice
immobile
numb
no
Khione inside a palace of ice in sleep
yes
Frost thriving on ice
on placidness,
on still beauty
yes
You are silvered liquid.
Fate changing
climb
drop
climb
drop
defy
follow
gravity.
What choice is there?

                               [[SLEEP]]
Inside the land that borders sleep and wake
lost in myriads of stimuli,
tug and pull, tug and pull
where do you go?
Where do you cross?
Your once differentiated borders,
now almost symmetrical,
almost mirroring,
colliding,
crossing,
juxtaposing,
that you dream to live
you wake dead to the world.
You count sheep to escape
being counted as sheep.
Having crossed backwards to either borderlines,
could you still differentiate?
Or has your backward-crossing
altered you at 360
that you are lost in your mistaken orientation?
Twisted perception,
almost overriding objective sensation,
what you see,
you don’t get,
not really.
You are found twisting,
and turning,
restless,
fitful.
Asleep? or Awake?
Reality-crossing dream,
Dream-crossing reality…
but both won’t seem to blend,
where do you latch on to?
